STV Creative's community and environmental advertorials for SSEN Transmission
STV Creative partnered with SSEN Transmission to produce a multi-platform campaign highlighting the impact of the SSEN’s Community Benefit Fund and Environmental Projects across Scotland.
3 x 60” advertorials filmed on-location with real-life community organisations in rural North of Scotland, featured uplifting stories - an all-ages walking rugby club, a sight and hearing loss charity and bicycle track patrons. Conscious of minimising our carbon footprint to offset any travel, contributors wore their own wardrobe and were filmed during the usual weekly activity time – no props were purchased for the project. Our suite of on-screen material was rounded out with environmental experts discussing SSEN’s work in nature restoration and recovery to create a nature positive Scotland.
Post-campaign analysis findings included increased awareness of funding available to local community groups, increased awareness of the work SSEN Transmission undertakes with environmental groups and higher recall in comparison to SSEN Transmission’s previous campaign. This reiterated SSEN Transmission’s desire to boost understanding of their work and STV’s Sustainability Scotland Week was the complimentary broadcast/digital space for this.
SSEN Transmission play a critical role in enabling the UK’s transition to net zero and STV’s sustainability strategy ‘STV Zero’ sets out their commitment to be a sustainable business. So it was vitally important to both brands to make sustainable choices.
